GK Strategy: 2025 UK Budget Briefing
The 2025 Autumn Budget was delivered at a difficult moment for the Chancellor.
Weak growth, rising borrowing costs and growing pressures on the public finances means that Rachel Reeves had to present another series of tax raising measures to balance the books and meet her fiscal rules.
The Chancellor will hope that the measures she has put forward will appease the increasingly disgruntled backbench Labour MPs and buy her some time with an electorate whose patience is wearing thin.
GK's Hugo Tuckett and Sam Tankard take a look at the key measures in the budget, including what it means for the government's fortunes as well as businesses and investors.
There is also analysis of the headline announcements in relation to:
🧑⚕️ Health and social care
🏫 Education
🥕 Food, farming and agriculture
💡 Energy and net zero
🏠 Housing and the built environment
Please get in touch if there's anything in the budget you would like to discuss in more detail.
